The Holidays can be a difficult time for people. More people than you'd imagine. I'd suggest developing your own traditions. Make it a day to go to the movies, for instance. Or whatever. And no guns in your mouth. You know you're a good guy, so do I. You have many gifts, and if people want to lie about you, or ignore your gifts, that's on them, and it's their loss.
